Working with US Customers
Working with US Customers
Why the US and EU
Engineers there earn a lot, so software that saves their time is worth a lot to them. The US has the money. China makes things — that's not our game. The EU is slow and bureaucratic, but EU software and research are trusted everywhere, and that helps us. So: do good, trustworthy work, fast, and sell to the US and EU.
Our edge
We're small, so we're fast and not slowed by bureaucracy. We win on speed, good work, and trust.
How to work with Americans
- Be fast. Reply and follow up quickly. A quick answer is better than a slow perfect one. No reply isn't a "no" — keep following up.
- Talk results and money first. Say what problem you solve and the time or money saved. Tech details later.
- Be confident. Don't undersell. Say clearly why we're good.
- Be nice and polite. Friendly, first names, positive. We're blunt here — to them that sounds rude. Don't be rude.
- They won't say "no" to your face. "Great / interesting / we'll see" or going quiet often means a problem. Always ask for the next step and a date. Watch what they do, not just what they say.
- Make it easy to buy. Clear price in USD, clear support, proof it works.
- Use their time zone, and keep your word. Offer call times in US hours; do what you promised.
Use AI to stay polite
If you feel like you need to kick an American's ass in a message, don't send it as-is — write it your way, then ask AI to rewrite it in a polite form, and send that.
Bottom line
We can't out-rule the EU, out-build China, or out-spend the US. We win by being fast, doing good work, and being easy and pleasant to deal with.
