Resolving - Toroid with 86 turns

Problem description

The model performed well in the inductance simulation. However, to proceed with obtaining temperature data, the following changes were made:

  • Electromagnetics: Turned off
  • Thermal Settings: Set to steady-state
  • Bobbin: Added
  • Material Properties: For Kool material, the thermal conductivity is not specified. Assuming this is required for thermal simulations. So, a temporary value of 3 was used for testing purposes, with the exact value to be confirmed late

Challenges Encountered:

  1. Geometry Assembly Failure:
    The geometry could not assemble when using a large number of turns, so the number of turns was reduced to start with a smaller configuration. So, Group1coil with the number of turns reduced to 3 was used.
  2. Meshing Failure:
    The model failed to mesh due to a high aspect ratio. Despite attempting to adjust the element size and the dr value for the bobbin, the issue could not be resolved.
